Mission Statement
The Cystic Fibrosis Scholarship Foundation ("CFSF") was founded in June 1999 to assist young adults with cystic fibrosis ("CF") pursue their goal of higher education. The purpose of the CFSF is to provide an opportunity for young adults with CF to further their education at a college or vocational school. This goal is often out of reach for families with CF children because of the high cost of medical care from the time these students were babies. Scholarships are awarded based on financial need, educational achievement, and leadership as submitted by the student in the scholarship application form.
Description
CFSF does two major fundraising events each year. Wine tastings in Chicago and New York are held. Donations are also received from individuals as well as the CFSF partners with several other groups who have golf tournaments whose proceeds are donated to CFSF.
