Description

The North Hills Landscape Committee is a community-based Landscape Committee and the local affiliate of California ReLeaf, the statewide grassroots tree planting network. We work on school gardens and public gardens. We are currently developing an Emergency Preparedness Exhibit Center and a new public garden called the Gateway Garden that will surround it on City of Oakland property. We also help maintain the Firestorm Memorial Garden and the Frank Ogawa Firescape Garden. We work on vegetation management, creek restoration, and native plant restoration projects in the Highway 24 corridor in the Oakland Hills.
