Mission Statement

The Flood Control District's Mission in simple terms is to provide urban flood damage reduction projects that work, with appropriate regard for community and natural values. We reduce the risk of flood damage by: Devising stormwater management plans; Implementing those plans; and, Maintaining the infrastructure.

Description

The Harris County Flood Control District undertakes projects related to flood damage reduction. Volunteers are sought to assist in these tasks, especially those related to vegetation management along District channels.
