Welcome to theNevadaStateRailroadMuseumand the Department of Cultural Affairs, often referred to as the flagship of state government. Ours is one of the most diverse and visible branches of state government inNevada, providing a unique array of services to citizens of all ages, ethnicities and economic means. I am proud of the services the Department of Cultural Affairs provides as a State agency.
Nevada’s railroad history embracesAmerica’s westward expansion, the discovery of riches, and the grit to accomplish what to some was an impossible task. The Department of Cultural Affairs through theRailroadMuseumbrings this history to visitors, school children, and anyone interested in enriching their educational experience.
