It is no secret that California’s economy is suffering and as a result, our funding is extremely tight. Unfortunately, because we are a new school with a tight budget, we will not have additional staff to help the Kindergarten team administer our beginning of the year assessments.

In an effort to help fill this personnel void, I am asking your help in recruiting volunteers to assist teachers in administering the beginning of the year assessments. Volunteers don’t have to worry about any lack of experience because we will train all volunteers. We would like to train the volunteers from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm on either Wednesday, August 31 st or Thursday, September 1 st. If this time does not work we can discuss other times. We will be testing our Kindergarten students beginning Friday, September 2 nd through Wednesday, September 14 th. Our testing hours tentatively will be from 8:30 am - 11:00 am and then from 12:15 pm to 1:25 pm.

There will be additional opportunities for volunteers outside of the assessment window. However, we are really looking to fulfill this required time first and then figure out other opportunities. I would really appreciate any help you can provide in helping us find willing volunteers.
