Mission Statement

To protect and restore clean, flowing waters for Washington State.

Description

CELP is a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring that Washington leaves a legacy of clean, flowing water, and access to these waters, for our children and grandchildren. We tackle the problems of water overuse by: working with state agencies to make sure that decisions about how we use our water take environmental impacts into consideration; raising public awareness about threats to our rivers, streams and aquifers, and to engage citizens in effective solutions; working with key legislators to advocate for environmentally sustainable water laws and policy; and ensuring good laws are enforced in the courts.
