We need a volunteer to act as Site Manager at the Pet Food Express store located at 5148 Stevens Creek Blvd., San Jose on Saturdays from 12:30 to 4:30. Will be responsible for setting up for adoption events and packing up at the end of the event. Will have 1-2 volunteers working with you to accomplish this. Prefer to have the Site Manager to stay for the event and help greet members of the public visiting the event and answer their questions. Must be able to physically push two story playpens on wheels through the store, lift up to 20lbs, and bend and kneel. Training provided. There will also be two adoption counselors and a few teen volunteers staffing the event with you. Lots of adorable kittens will also be there!

Volunteer Ambassadors needed for our new Kitten Cafe! Volunteers aged 15 and older needed to staff adoption events on Saturday and Sunday afternoons at our Itty Bitty Orphan Kitty Rescue Bitty Kitty Cafe and a kitten Adoption Playroom! First shift is 11:30-3pm. Second shift is 3:00-6:30pm. Will greet members of the public visiting the events, supervise our guests while they interact with our kittens, and answer general questions. We also clean up messes, scoop litterboxes, and vacuum the lobby at the end of each day. Training provided. We are looking to expand our volunteer base and need someone to screen new volunteer applicants and get them oriented. We are actively recruiting volunteers with experience in social media, SEO, webpage support, administrative help, and training to become adoption counselors at our offsite adoption events. Our Volunteer Coordinator will also supervise our teen volunteers at adoption events when necessary. Most of the time you will be working from your home, emailing volunteer packets, making phone calls, responding to volunteer applicants on Volunteer Match, texting volunteers with updates and organizing volunteers for fundraising events. This is a board position.

We are a small nonprofit kitten rescue organization in need of a Board Secretary as soon as possible! This is a volunteer position and the volunteer must be over age 25, have excellent note taking skills, and be familiar with how a nonprofit board of directors works. A non-profit background is preferred, but not required. A love of kittens is also a plus! Will need to commit approximately 4-6 hours a month preparing agendas, attending a two-hour board meeting, and following up with the minutes and action items from the meeting. Thanks!
