Here's a sample of our volunteer opportunities:VIEW AS
"To preserve and interpret the history of all forms of transportation in North Carolina, including but not limited to railroads, automobiles and trucking, river transportation, and aviation; to preserve the buildings and other historic features of Spencer Shops; to interpret the history of the Southern Railway and repair facility and the community and people who were associated with it; to operate an on-going program of transportation artifact restoration and conservation; and to present this history in a manner which allows visitors to enjoy their experience as well as learn from it."
The North Carolina Transportation Museum strives to be the southeast's premier monunment to our nation's transportation system. Interpretive Volunteer can help accomplish this by supporting the interpretive and educational programs of the museum. Everyone who has a special interest in preserving North Carolina's transportation history and who are willing to share their knowledge with visitors are invited to join.
