The Iowa Dental Foundation was formed in 1994 with the purpose of improving the oral health of Iowans. The primary program of the IDF is the Iowa Mission of Mercy, a large scale, two day event that provides free dental care to those who have barriers to accessing dental care.
The IDF also provides scholarships to individuals interested in pursuing higher education in the oral health field.
In addition, the IDF funds other projects and research in the area of oral health care.
