Mission Statement

The Harlem Community Justice Center is a community court that seeks to solve neighborhood problems--including youth crime, landlord-tenant disputes and the challenges faced by parolees--in East and Central Harlem.

Description

The Youth Justice Project of the Harlem Community Justice Center works intensively with young people who have engaged in delinquent behavior, providing them with the tools they need to get on the right track and avoid further offending. The Justice Center also engages in comprehensive prevention activities, reaching out to at-risk youth before they get into trouble with the law and providing them with the skills to make better life choices.
