Mission Statement

The mission of the Lancaster County Conservancy is to save and steward the ecosystems and landscapes upon which we depend for food, clean water and air, economic and public health, and the restoration of soul and spirit.

Description

The Conservancy is dedicated to save and steward forested land, particularly forests that contain water sheds, landscape or large tracts of forests, land that is adjacent to existing preserved land and wildlife habitat. The Conservancy is also dedicated to all aspects of environmental education. We are involved in backyard stewardship, in which we encourage land owners of both large and small to consider "reforesting" parts or all of their land.
