The Lena Armstrong Public Library exists to enrich the community of Belton by providing quality materials and services of informational, educational, leisure, and cultural value.
Public Library has served Belton since 1899. Belton's population is 18,216. Physical plant has 5659 square feet. Current collection size is 28,004 items. We have separate Children's and Young Adult collections and programs. We have a Friends of the Library group, which raises money and gives away books at local events like Christmas on the Chisholm Trail and Turtle Festival. We also host a writers group on the first Thursday and a poets group on the second Thursday of each month.
