Mission Statement

Kitty Cat Connection, Inc. is a non-profit, humane organization dedicated to reducing suffering and overpopulation among feral and abandoned cats, to fostering and to try to find caring homes for all rescued cats, and to promote spay/neuter and adoption as a way to address the problem of homeless cats in our own area.

Description

Kitty Cat Connection is a network of unpaid volunteers in Greater Kansas City. Our corporate address is Platte City, but we reside all over the metro area. We spend countless hours and much of our own money on our task. We are not a shelter and have no building. Many of us foster cats and kitten in our homes. We transport them to the vet and to adoption sites. Some of us are active in TNR, trap, neuter, return. Some of us feed feral colonies or help at private rescue farms we work with, or help at our thrift store. Some of us are active in fundraising, IT, and social media.

I expressed interest to Sandy Coffman in volunteering, but apparently KCC has enough volunteers you have extra time and money. No one responded to my email. No one. So I followed up with Susan Heddings in person. Susan said "I don't know what to tell you, ask that Robin woman." I was shocked. I just concluded they are very poorly run if they are a non-profit turning people away who are offering to work for free.
