Mission Statement

Hospitality House is a community center for San Francisco's Tenderloin neighborhood, providing opportunities for personal growth and self-determination to homeless people and others in need. The agency's mission is to build community strength by advocating policies and rendering services which foster self-sufficiency and cultural enrichment. We encourage self-esteem, mutual respect an increased self esteem. The goal of these efforts is to make the heart of San Francisco a better place for us all.

Description

Hospitality House offers four unique programs, all of which work closely, integrating services to provide the most complete suuport possible to our participants. These programs include: the Tenderloin and Sixth Street Self-Help Centers, which provide crises intervention and support systems, the Employment Program, which offers vocational and employment services, the Case Management Dorm, which offers a supportive shelter community with enhanced services, and Community Arts Program, which offers artistic access for homeless and at-risk artists who would otherwise be unable to create, house or present their artwork.
