Mission Statement

To help the homeless severely mentally ill in our community by providing food, clothing, shelter and Chrisitan counseling in a voluntary theraputic setting to effect a permanant life change.

Description

We have 2 major areas of service: 1. Providing shelter for the homeless mentally ill and 2. assisting over 600 families each week with emergency food, clothing and household items.

The Jesus House was the place where I lived, was ministered to, and ministered to others in the early l980's. I assisted with kitchen duties, passing out food baskets, worked in the clothing room, worked at the front desk as needed, helped Sister Ruth and Sister as needed. Through the years, I have enjoyed the friendships I developed there. I cherish my memories of the Jesus House too. I now work in Hunger & Thirst Ministry (similar to the Jesus House, but on a much smaller scale) here in my hometown in Arkansas. Merry Christmas & Happy 2010 --- Lucy
