Mission Statement

Vajrapani Institute (VPI) is a secluded Tibetan Buddhist retreat center in the stillness of the California redwood forest. Our purpose is to inspire deep spiritual work by providing supportive conditions. Retreaters from all traditions are nurtured by the energy of our founders Lama Thubten Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche, and by the power of our blessed land, holy objects, and teachers. We are a community of practitioners committed to understanding and serving the needs of retreaters

Description

As a meditation retreat center, we offer the following services:

Private Retreat - Rent one of our seven meditation retreat cabins for your private meditation retreat.

Tibetan Buddhist Retreats - Attend one of our Tibetan Buddhist courses or group retreats in the Gelug tradition.

Facility Rental - Rent our land and facilities for your spiritual organization's group retreat.

Our volunteers support our retreaters in a variety of ways and offer their service with our core values of wisdom, harmony, loving-heartedness, spaciousness, clarity and trust, in mind.
