Mission Statement

The Long Island Works Coalition was created as a regional initiative to bridge the gap between business and education. Its programs target businesses, academia, parents, students (kindergarten through college) and the community at large. The LIWC helps prepare students with the knowledge, skills and experience to be successful in the workforce and increases awareness of the educational and career opportunities that exist here on Long Island.

Description

The Long Island Works Coalition has been preparing students for successful futures on Long Island since January 1999, with programs and services such as a free electronic regional clearinghouse for internships, business advisory boards, and parent presentations.
