To deliver a hot, nutritious meal and a daily contact to the homebound of Polk County.
Description
Meals on Wheels of Polk County delivers 200 meals a day Monday-Friday. We have 250 volunteers that deliver meals, prepare food in the kitchen and work in our Thrift Store. We have 20 routes that deliver to Winter Haven, Lakeland, Auburndale, Haines City and Davenport.

I have been volunteering at Meal on wheels(Kitchen and store) from the month, I arrived in the country. Helping in meal preparations and organizing of thrift store is such a great way of giving back to the community!

Delivering meals and providing hope to elders in our community that are isolated and lonely. A great way to honor the greatest generation!
