Description

NAMI Wyoming is a not-for-profit grassroots organization composed of nine local affiliates and more than 300 members across Wyoming. NAMI Wyoming members are individuals living with a mental illness, their family members and other allies, such as health care professionals. NAMI is dedicated to improving the quality of life for individuals living with mental illness and their families through education, support and advocacy.

NAMI Wyoming started in 1985 by a group of parents discouraged by the lack of services available to their mentally ill children. Over the last 25 years, NAMI Wyoming has grown to become the largest organization representing adults with severe mental illnesses and their families in the State of Wyoming.

NAMI Wyoming currently offers a variety of services to both families and individuals with mental illness including education programs, support groups, statewide information and referral services, and one-on-one support.
