Our purpose and vision is to improve the health, well being and self-confidence of children and adults with any type of disability and special need by offering them access to the proven therapeutic benefits and the enjoyment provided by horseback riding. We strive to touch our student's minds, bodies and souls in a creative and nurturing environment.

Description

Hannah's Horseshoes of Hope therapeutic riding center serves children and adults with cognitive disabilities, which can be due to number of issues including Down Syndrome, autism, traumatic brain injury or ADD; people with physical or emotional needs, at-risk children and returning veterans. Hannah's offers a variety of programs,both on site and off, available to our clients.

The center is based near Bonham, Texas and serves the Red River/Texoma Region of North Texas and South-Eastern Oklahoma.

Hannah's Horseshoes of Hope is a PATH (Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International) member.

Our caring, experienced, professional instructors are PATH certified.

Janice and Cleayton Mills are the founders of Hannah's Horseshoes of Hope. Their vision was to provide therapeutic horsemanship and other equine-assisted activities for the benefit of children and adults with physical, mental, emotional needs or learning disabilities as an addition or alternative to other therapies. Janice and Cleayton's granddaughter, Hannah Sue - daughter of Steven and Joleen Mills - was born with Down Syndrome, one of the many conditions that can be positively impacted with therapeutic riding. Hannah's was founded in 2002.
