Janice and Cleayton Mills are the founders of Hannah's Horseshoes of Hope. Their vision was to provide therapeutic horsemanship and other equine-assisted activities for the benefit of children and adults with physical, mental, emotional needs or learning disabilities as an addition or alternative to other therapies. Janice and Cleayton's granddaughter, Hannah Sue - daughter of Steven and Joleen Mills - was born with Down Syndrome, one of the many conditions that can be positively impacted with therapeutic riding. Hannah's was founded in 2002.
