Mission Statement

If you have just two hours a week to share, you can make a difference in the lives of others. As an Gentiva/Odyssey hospice volunteer you will bring the gift of companionship to neighbors in our community who are facing the end-of-life.

Our Mission is to provide compassionate care to those we serve during the end of life's journey through our commitment to clinical excellence and uncompromising service and we need you to be a part of our team.

An Odyssey professional will provide the training you'll need to feel comfortable in the role of patient companion (please know that there are no personal grooming or hygiene tasks involved). Office volunteers are also needed and greatly appreciated. Patient companion volunteers must be 18 or older but we do accept volunteers 16 or older as administrative volunteers.

Please call Amy at 760-241-7044 or send an email: atorres@odsyhealth.com if you live in any of these areas of California: Apple Valley, Victorville, Hesperia, Helendale, or Barstow. Our volunteer program is not eligible for CalWorks participants.

The gifts you receive will surely be equal to or greater than those you give.

Thank you.
