Description
Details: Hanover County's volunteer rescue squads and fire companies are seeking new members to help with fire supression and emergency medical services. A variety of opportunities exist to help with our public safety effort. We offer training to those desiring Emergency Medical Technician and Fire Fighter certifications. We also welcome help with "support services" which may include hospitality & public relations, fund raising, clerical & administrative, bookkeeping, information systems and buildings & grounds or fleet maintenance. Our memberships welcome an age group from teenagers to senior citizens. we have daytime and nighttime opportunities available. Skills: No experience is necessary. We welcome entry level people and help with the education needed to excel in emergency services. Dedication, committment, an interest in learning and a desire to help are qualities vital to our service. Our training division manages classes for members of our organization. Each year we schedule programs in Emergency Vehicle Operation, Fire Fighter I, Fire Fighter II, Emergency Medical Technician, Basic Trauma Life Support, Advanced Cardiac Life Support and more.
