Mission Statement

The purpose of RibbonWalk is to enrich, inspire and serve the broad community as a living museum, providing opportunities in a woodland setting for environmental education and research, community outreach, horticultural displays, botanical collections, history, special events, and art exhibitions, while conserving habitat for temperate woodland flora and fauna and preserving a large urban forest within the city of Charlotte for future generations.

Description

As a public-private joint venture, RibbonWalk is facilitated by Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation Department. RibbonWalk is funded by foundation and community grants, private contributions and memberships
