Mission Statement

Our mission is to preserve and interpret the French farmhouse of Henri and Odile Chatillon and the Greek Revival mansion of Nicolas and Emilie Sophie DeMenil, and enhancing our role as an educational resource for historic preservation in our community.

Description

Our lively house museum is currently open for tours four days a week. We market ourselves to visitors and residents of St. Louis as well as school groups and home school groups. We have several popular annual events including a Bastille Day celebration and a day of Victorian Mourning, We also host talks, book signings, craft nights, and other educational and social events. There is a lovely gift shop in the basement and an independently operated cafe on the grounds.
