Mission Statement

CALI exists to serve, give voice, and provide representation for undocumented immigrant victims of violent crime in the United States. Many have been domestically and/or sexually abused, and their ailments are compounded by the alienating effect of living in a society that is linguistically foreign and, by and large, legally hostile. We educate them on the social services and legal rights available to them as victims. When necessary and appropriate, we provide them low cost legal services. We perform client intakes to listen to their stories, guide them through the paperwork, and link them to the services and rights available to them.
