CureSearch for Children's Cancer funds the lifesaving, collaborative research of the Children's Oncology Group, the world's largest cooperative pediatric cancer research organization. Our mission is to fund and support collaborative research and to provide information and educational resources to all those affected by children's cancer.
Kick-It is a national fundraising program that raises money for children's cancer research. It all started with a 10-year old cancer patient with a big dream; to cure cancer by playing kickball. The concept has spread across the country and thousands of people have been inspired to raise money for childhood cancer research.
Funds raised benefit CureSearch for Children's Cancer, a national non-profit organization which funds the Children's Oncology Group. The Children's Oncology Group is the world's largest, cooperative children's cancer research entity. Money raised supports bench-to-bedside research which includes developing studies, enrolling and treating patients and interpreting the results of the clinical trials.
With more than 200 member hospitals worldwide and over 6,500 physicians, nurses and other researchers, Children's Oncology Group hospitals treat 90 percent of children in the United States with cancer, providing the unmatched combination of global expertise and local care. This means that every child and care team has complete access to the latest research and world-class treatments at hospitals close to home./p>
We have one simple goal - to accelerate a cure for children with cancer. By organizing a game, joining a team or making a donation, you are helping thousands of children fighting cancer in your hometown and across the country.
