Mission Statement
Friendship Ambassadors Foundation (FAF), is a nonprofit, cultural services agency with international affiliations and representation. FAF promotes intercultural exchange that reduce tensions, increase mutual understanding, cooperation, reconciliation, and the ability for cultures to meet in meaningful ways; the foundation also believes that Cultural Tourism can be a resource for communities seeking locally managed, sustained growth and development.
Description
FAF facilitates all aspects of international, peer level, cultural exchange experiences in order to bring communities together - especially among those cultures with the greatest need for improved relationships. Although it is not a direct grant-maker, the Foundation assists whenever possible with free short-term travel grants, subsidized, introductory exchanges among group leaders, in-bound land support for international groups visiting the U.S.A. from emerging countries, and a variety of administrative and other developmental support for new cultural organizations interested in global, cultural exchange. Organizations contact the foundation directly; awards are adjudicated by FAF panels.
