Mission Statement

If there is a heart in Heartland, we're it. And if there is bread in the nation's breadbasket, it probably came from us. Indiana has a long and proud agricultural heritage, and Dig-IN celebrates and promotes that heritage, raising awareness of Hoosier-grown and -produced food and beverages.

Description

Dig-IN is a one-day tasting event. It will be noon-5 p.m. Aug. 28 at White River State Park in Indianapolis. Chefs from about 30 of the state's top restaurants will prepare dishes from Indiana products for the public to sample. Hoosier brewers, vintners and bottlers of nonalcoholic beverages also will provide samplings and sell their products. Along with the tastings, there will be children's activities, a speaker series for foodies and music. We partner with IN Shape to encourage biking to the event, and with some of Indiana's environmental groups to ensure that trash is handled responsibly.
