Mission Statement

Our mission is to increase the creative and professional opportunities for young independent video/filmmakers. We promote the use of video/film as an educational tool to spark awareness, dialogue, social activism and self-expression for young people between the ages of 13-21. Our venue helps the participants analyze the social problems and concerns they face in their local environment. It allows the youth producers a chance to tell their unique stories.

Description

The festival identifies and supports new emerging filmmakers focusing on youth producers (21 years old and under) nationally and internationally. We are open to all videos/films produced by youth however we strongly encourage youth to submit their videos/films and scripts addressing social justice issues. The CU 2 VFF recognizes the need to promote the talents of young people and celebrate in their achievements as a result we have designed a festival that provides a safe, nurturing, and energizing environment for young filmmakers.
