Mission Statement

Phoenix House has a mission, and a tradition spanning almost fifty years, of leading individulas, families and communities from disrupted to productive lives. With 134 programs in 11 states (14 of which serve Northern virginia, DC and the Mid-Atlantic area), we serve more than 7,000 men, women and adolescents every day, safeguarding youth, strengthening families, and enabling those trapped in dependencey to confront addiction and to achieve and sustain recovery.

Description

Phoenix Houses of the Mid-Atlantic helps adolescents and adults reclaim their lives from the ravages of substance abuse and addiction.

The Employment Placement Project works with long-term residential clients to prepare them for and place them into jobs upon completion of treatment. Having meaningful employment is a major factor in an individual's ability to maintain their recovery. The percentage of clients leaving treatment for employment dropped from 85 to 32 in recent years and this project is designed to increase the rate of employment for our departing clients.
