Lenders for Community Development builds new pathways to increase the flow of capital into low-income communities. Together with our member banks, philanthropic investors, and partner organizations, we develop financial products and services for low-income individuals and communities throughout Silicon Valley. Our programs: · Help small businesses grow and create jobs · Finance affordable housing and other needed community facilities · Help people develop savings and assets

Description

Small business lending is targeted to low-income, women and minority-owned business, and to businesses located in low-income census tracts. Affordable housing and community facilities lending is targeted to projects which provide housing or services for low, very low and moderate income households. Individual Development Accounts (IDA's) are offered to low-income people recruited through a network of non-profit partner agencies.
