Mission Statement

The Seniors' Health Insurance Information Program's mission is to provide unbiased and factual health insurance information, free of charge, to Medicare beneficiaries and any other persons in need of such information in North Carolina.

Description

The Seniors' Health Insurance Program (SHIIP), founded in 1986, is a division of the North Carolina Department of Insurance. It serves all 100 of North Carolina's counties through a toll-free consumer line, publications and a volunteer network.
