Mission Statement

The mission of the YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago and the Buehler YMCA is to aid in the development of Christian values and to support the spiritual, physical, and mental well being of individuals and families in order to improve their quality of life. To achieve this mission, the YMCA, through effective board, staff and volunteer leadership, in collaboration with other community institutions and groups, provides quality programs to meet the diverse needs of individuals, families, neighborhoods and communities.

Description

The YMCA of Metropolitan Chicago anchors every neighborhood, from the heart of the central city to the farthest reaches of the suburbs. As a result, families come closer together, children learn and grow, young people lead, individuals become self-sufficient, and all people are healthier in spirit, mind and body.
