Mission Statement

The Reading by 9 Volunteer Program, launched by the L. A. Times, is aimed at kindergartners through third graders, who need help with reading. Volunteers are asked to give just one hour a week, to read to a classroom or tutor one-on-one.

Description

Volunteers should be 18 or older, have a TB screening and clearance, a background check and one 3 hour training session.
