Mission Statement
Through community service, cross-cultural exchange and educational travel, World PULSE (Program for Understanding, Leadership, Service and Exchange) involves young people from diverse ethnic backgrounds and low-income communities in promoting respect and understanding between people of different cultures and communities. World PULSE provides the opportunities, tools and leadership skills for young people to shape their own futures and positively affect their local and global communities.
Description
The core activity of World PULSE is the Young Ambassadors Program, a 10-month cross-cultural leadership program which engages young people, ages 18-26, from low-income families and diverse ethnic backgrounds in local and international voluntary community service work, cross-cultural exchanges and other educational and leadership-building activities. We also offer diversity training workshops and organize international volunteer exchanges. Our primary goal is to create a pool of young leaders who are culturally-competent, globally-minded and actively involved in their local and global communities.
