The mission of Gilda's Club is to create a welcoming community of free support for men, women, and children living with cancer, along with their families and friends.

Description

We are a free cancer support community that serves the people touched by cancer in Metro Detroit. Our innovative program is an essential complment to medical care, providing networking and support groups, workshops, education and social activities.

I’m a cancer survivor and attended many functions that Gilda’s offered as well as attended a support group! They are a beautiful, wonderful organization that helps so many people and their families! I want to give back some how by volunteering.

I work full time during the week and really enjoy volunteering at Gilda’s Club in the evening. The staff and other volunteers are friendly; in fact I can honestly say that when I am at the club house I hear – thank you we really appreciate you volunteering today. You are in a supportive environment and you can feel it the moment you pass through the “red door” – which really is warm and welcoming.
