Mission Statement
St. Joseph's Villa of Rochester helps youth, families and the community by caring for kids in crisis. The agency specializes in helping at-risk youth overcome serious emotional and behavioral challenges and build lifelong strengths through a network of high quality programs and services.
Relationships based on caring, respect and hope are the foundations of our efforts.
Description
The greatest need is for adults, both individuals and couples, to work with a young person as a mentor. We need adults who enjoy kids and are:
- a positive role model
- at least 21 years of age
- able to participate at least twice monthly
- willing to make a commitment for six months or more.
Mentors are people who understand that growing up can be difficult.
Through commitment and consistency, the volunteer and teen build a trusting relationship.
Volunteers contribute in a variety of other ways as well. They use their special talents in group settings on our campus and in our group homes. Volunteer groups assist the agency on special projects and events.
