Mission Statement

The Chicano Humanities & Arts Council is a consortium of artists, cultural workers, individuals and organizations dedicated to the preservation and promotion of Chicano/Latino culture through Arts and Education.

Description

The Chicano Humanities and Arts Council (CHAC) features the art and culture of the vibrant Chicano/Latino community of Denver and the surrounding areas. We have two galleries side by side adjoined in the back by a Mexican Style portico. Our galleries display local, culturally unique art that immerse the viewer in authentic art and culture of the Mexican Southwest. Our Tiendita (little store) is packed with handmade gifts that reflect genuine Chicano/Latino culture. We are the most popular Cultural Gallery in Denver and are located in the heart of Denver's vibrant Santa Fe Arts District.

We provide cultural arts programming to local communities right in our galleries surrounded by inspiring art. We also take our programming "on the road". Programming includes, monthly first Friday art show openings, cultural arts workshops, Dia de los Muertos events, and our annual Chile Harvest Festival, featuring cultural dances and performances.
