The STAX Music Academy provides music education and unique performance opportunities to inspire primarily the young people of Soulsville, USA to enhance their academic and leadership skills to become facilitators for community change.

1. To serve the children of Soulsville, USA 2. To use music as the primary tool to develop life skills of our participants 3. To provide students with unique performance opportunities 4. To increase academic performance of participants 5. To provide leadership opportunities for students with SMA programs and throughout the community 6. To create and network with programs and assist with events that help to build communities, particularly Soulsville, USA community 7. To initiate and/or improve the music ability of student participants and discover within them a high level of talent 8. To teach students about history and legacy of STAX Music and Memphis music 9. To involve other social, civic, and business organizations in the lives of the participants 10. To create student loyalty which, in turn creates a strong active alumni
