Mission Statement

Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities offers education, residential and family support services to children and adults with special needs. The Center's goal is to provide the individuals it serves the opportunity to maximize their abilities in a loving, nurturing environment.

Description

Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities was established in 1969 by parents of children with special needs: Billy and Ruth Pierce (whose daughter, the late Tammy Lynn Pierce, is the Center's namesake), Betty and C. Durham Moore, Jr., and Helen and Irvin B. Tucker.

Our Programs and Services
Located on a nine-acre campus near NC State's Centennial Campus in Raleigh, Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities offers educational, residential, therapeutic and family support services to nearly 400 children and adults with special needs.

Tammy Lynn Center offers the following services and programs:

  • Early Intervention
  • Day Services
  • Therapy Services
  • Respite Care Program
  • ICF/MR Residential Services
  • Community Residential Services

Since its inception in 1969, Tammy Lynn Center remains committed to providing the individuals it serves with the opportunity to maximize their abilities in a loving, nurturing environment.

Tammy Lynn Center for Developmental Disabilities is CARF accredited.
