NYMVAE

Mission Statement

The New York Metro Vocal Arts Ensemble (NYMVAE) is a Not-For-Profit, 501(c)(3) tax-exempt opera company performing concert version and staged operatic works at various venues throughout the New York Metropolitan area. NYMVAE was established in 2000 by a group of emerging performing artists. The organization is dedicated to providing performance opportunities to young singers in a supportive, educational atmosphere. The principal focus of this growing organization is community outreach performances for schools, hospitals, nursing homes and senior residences. Since its inception, NYMVAE has performed over 20 works ranging from chamber opera to large scale operetta, produced outreach programs for area community centers, created performing opportunities for over 65 singers, and given seminars on the vocal arts.
