Snoop Youth Football League has taken thousands of kids off the streets in gang infested South Central L.A. For the last seven years, the league has changed the lives of countless young people. In January 2010, Snoop Youth Football League was featured in The Wall Street Journal -- because the league took Crenshaw High School to the Top 10 in the State's Division. The league had its first set of students head off to college last year. The most impressive aspect of SYFL is that it includes scholastics --it's all about the "student athlete". In Chicago--the league has added sports medicine internships for kids who perform well academically. And are planning to teach youth financial literacy through a partnership with the Federal Reserve Bank of Chicago! Overall Chicago has been plagued with violence over the last 5-6 years--where countless young people have lost their lives. This city needs Snoop Youth Football League! http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/Snoop-Dog
