Snoop Youth Football League Chicago is a division of Snoop Youth Football League Foundation, founded by Hip Hop icon Snoop Dogg seven years ago in South Central L.A. to provide the opportunity for inner-city youth ages 7-14 to participate in youth sports.
SYFL Chicago was founded in 2010 with the mission to help curve violence by providing youth, regardless of race, color, creed or economic background the chance to learn the values of character, integrity, discipline, and teamwork through football, cheer and scholastics.
Snoop Youth Football League Chicago opens its 2011 season with seven chapters: The Little Village Ravens, The Humboldt Park Patriots, The Pilsen Jets, The Bridgeport Hurricanes, The Chicago Chargers (West Side) and The South Side Seahawks (Pullman/Roseland) and the Near North Side Raiders (Cabrini Green).
SYFL's program consist of three major components: football, cheer and scholastics. All athletes must maintain a 2.0 GPA to participate in SYFL. Our scholastic program includes after-school tutoring, sports medicine internships, financial literacy, and digital media.
