Mission Statement

Our mission is to act as a voice for companion animals and to enhance their welfare by providing temporary shelter, spay/neuter services, humane education programs, and adoption/placement resources.

Description

Founded in 1957, the Delaware Humane Association (DHA) is Delaware’s first no kill animal shelter and adoption center.

DHA also serves the community by offering low-cost vaccination clinics, educational workshops, and affordable spay/neuter services. We receive no government funding, and rely on the support of the community in the form of volunteers, private donations, bequests, fundraising events, and our popular Guardian Angel Program.
