Mission Statement

Downtown Dog Rescue is an all-volunteer dog rescue organization created to promote social change. All of our volunteers belive that every dog matters, as does every dog owner. DDR partners with other small rescues and large animal welfare organizations, as well as Animal Control, to save dogs from being euthenized one date at a time, one dog at a time.

Description

Downtown Dog Rescue supports the Los Angeles community in a number of ways. DDR provides free spay/neuter services for dogs that belong to homeless and low-income dog owners, runs a private rescue kennel in downtown LA, and runs Operation Safety Net, an owner retention program designed to prevent more dogs from entering the shelter system.
