Mission Statement

New Image Youth Center aims to improve the lives of youth by providing an environment where students feel safe to dream, and to support the realization of dreams through programs designed to foster academic, social, and physical well-being.

Description

New Image Youth Center, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is an after school program and summer camp for at-risk youth in the Parramore community of downtown Orlando. Recent surveys indicate that 73% of households in Parramore are below the poverty line, 84% are single-parent households, and 47% of adults lack a high school diploma or equivalent. In a neighborhood where violent crime, drug abuse, and homelessness are commonplace, New Image Youth Center (NIYC) has become a safe haven for the children and teens of Parramore, providing a comprehensive range of services for nearly 100 students annually, all at no cost to participants.
