Description

Volunteers are needed in Rochester city schools to work with students to help them succeed in school. You will work one-on-one with a student each week to help them with their academics. Volunteers work in school, during the school day under the direction of a teacher. The main focus is on literacy skills so that elementary school students read at their grade level. Once you work with a student, you'll be hooked! There isn't anything better you will do with your time all week! When the school year is over, several school partners support summer reading programs and so you can become involved in a summer program now and then transition to a school-year program in the Fall.
