To promote excellence in engineering, science and math while cultivating the value of cultural diversity by: Motivating and mentoring students and professionals, Assisting students in securing financial aid and employment opportunities, Empowering students, parents, and professionals through educational MAES outreach programs, Stimulating successful partnerships with the community, government, and industry to provide tomorrow's leaders.
Description
The purpose of MAES is to increase the number of Mexican American and other Hispanics in technical and scientific fields. MAES works to increase opportunities, recognition, and participation of Mexican Americans and other Hispanics in engineering and science through its professional, technical, and student activities. MAES is a non-profit, tax exempt corporation. The efforts of the Bay Area Professional Chapter of MAES will be focused on providing opportunities for its members in:Community Outreach, Student Outreach and Assistance, Professional Development, National Symposia, Social Activities
