Mission Statement
Create an awareness of and respect for the environmental importance of the Poquessing Creek, its tributaries and watershed; Improve the water quality and the environmental conditions of the Poquessing Creek, its tributaries and wetlands; Become an active educational voice in the community for the Poquessing Watershed; Create a passive trail for walking and wildlife appreciation through the parks and public land which border the Poquessing Creek; Promote and support the development of Benjamin Rush State Park and Poquessing Valley Park as wildlife and nature preserves; Promote an appreciation of Doctor Benjamin Rush, whose birthplace lies in our watershed, for his role in the founding of our country.
Description
The Friends of Poquessing Watershed of Philadelphia and Bucks County is an all volunteer non-profit environmental group which is dedicated to the protection and enhancement of the Poquessing Watershed.
