Southern Area Agency on Aging is designated by the Virginia Department for the Aging as the Area Agency on Aging for the Cities of Danville, Martinsville, and the Counties of Franklin, Henry, Patrick, and Pittsylvania. The Agency is a private, non-profit organization that receives federal, state, and local funds to provide services mandated under the federal Older Americans Act.
