Mission Statement

Young Moms Connect is a program of Youth Connections Unlimited. Our mission is to provide young mothers and their children with social, recreational, arts and educational opportunities.

Program Coordinator Amy Gleason has worked with foster care youth and teen parents for over 20 years. She has seen the high number of teen parents in our community who are socially isolated, and lacking family and financial support. Many live in communities where even taking their baby to the nearby park is not possible because of safety concerns.

Young moms want to be good parents and they work very hard to make a safe and healthy life for themselves and their children. With your help, they do not have to do it alone.

Description

Mentoring Young Mothers

Are you a woman age 21 or older who would like to make a difference in the lives of teenagers and babies? We are seeking to match mentors with young moms, ages 13-20 and their child(ren).

Other Ways to Support Young Moms Connect

Do you enjoy networking and outreach? Are you skilled at soliciting donations or fundraising?
Young Moms Connect and Youth Connections Unlimited are operated on a voluntary basis with little to no funding. If you can assist with securing donations to help support mentor activities, or supplies for young moms, we welcome you to join us.
